your mind says one thing. your heart the other. so what next ? which should dominate ?

my heart tells me to go for it. but my mind, it keeps coming up with reasons why i shouldnt be with him. or let him know how i feel.

because whats the point right ? his an international student. and he always goes back home for every uni break. so all of this summer he'll be gone. thats three months without him if ever. and when he is here, uni gets pretty busy for the both of us, and it'd be quite a struggle to keep things alive right ? or not.. i just realli dont want it getting in the way of our studies.

also, whenever he leaves we'd probably have the same convo over and over - which will come to us breaking it off until he comes back yet again for things to start again between us.

its just - for the first time, logic is also telling me to give it a chance. that this sort of oppurtunity doesnt come by very often. his the sort of guy you want to take home to your parents. the boy next door, down to earth sort of guy. and all i want is to be with him.

so what do you think i should do ? what would you do in my situation ?

Hi s2whiterose,

It must be incredibly hard struggling with this sort of questions in your mind.

Maybe it's time to assess this relationship and see where things can go from there?

Perhaps, you might want to check out this factsheet on

Do keep us posted and I hope things will be fine soon.

Ehon

Hey, i havn't been in a situation like this before but i can imagine that it would be a hard discision, but what have you got to loose? if you feel like you might regret not going for it one day then i agree with final_alert "You never know if you never go." But it's up to you, go with your gut feeling??

thats a really hard situation to be in! none of us can tell you what to do.. if i were you and this guy was as important as your saying id try to keep it going. hmm i suck at relationships... but my friend has had similar experiences. she was going over seas alot and eventually her parents said she was moving there to live. her and her boy tried to stay together but alot of things got in the way. she started having feelings for other people within a month.. also she was put up a grade so the homework and catching up was just tooo much for a year 8 going to year 10. i think if they really loved eachother it could of worked though cause her parents changed their mind again and she came back.

after uni is he staying here or is he going back to wherever he lives? if in the end you guys have to break up anyway the relationship might not be worth it.. but if you see a future with him i rekn you should go for it!

i always stick with the "better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all"

i took a chance, recently, and its workign out well so far although it might only be a short time of happiness together, its something...not being together at all would take away the possibility of losing so much, but you will never have it in the first place...

okai so much for thinking and contemplating about all these issues - education and long distance. because when you worry constantly then before you know it - his just started seeing someone else. well, thats what ive heard anyway.
